Online Giving Security and Policies
Your information is held securely by the Churchteams system. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions.
You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. Once the contribution has been processed, however, it cannot be cancelled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact us at email@example.com.
At The House of Hope Atlanta (The Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church), we use an online database called Churchteams. Their system allows us to provide access to your contribution records and allows you to make donations online. They provide all of the security for the system. This system is used by churches throughout the country and meets or exceeds all security guidelines required by Visa and MasterCard. Churchteams provides data security using the latest security technology. The system utilizes the most current encryption technology to maintain the security of your data. Every parameter passed in the hyperlinks is fully encrypted. Additionally, the Login module handles passwords using what is known in technical terms as salted hash. In laymen’s terms, this means it would take 50 computers (running constantly) continuously presenting password combinations for four years to discover the password.
When you create your account, you will determine your own login id and password. If you forget your login id or password, you can have the system email it to you by entering the email address that you used when you created your account. If you need help or cannot remember the email address you used, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also change your password at any time. Please help us keep your information safe by protecting your login information. Access to sensitive personal and financial information can be gained by letting someone else use your account or be leaving the information for someone else to use. The House of Hope Atlanta (GTRBC) will never call you to ask for your login information.
We have a great way for you to give. You can now give by using your smartphone or regular cell phone to text your donation to House of Hope Atlanta.
If your phone can send and receive text messages, but does not have Internet access, you can still use your phone to give: however you must register online.
If this is the first time you have given, you will receive a text back with a link to a web page where you will register your information. Click on the link to complete. Fill in your name, address, email address, and the debit or credit card you wish to use for all future donations. This one-time registration is required to complete your tithe. When the registration is complete, you will receive a receipt for the donation amount via text message.

To be able to do the initial registration on your phone, you will need to have internet access on your phone. If your phone can do text messaging, but does not have internet access, you can still use your phone to give, but the initial registration needs to be done through a web browser, either on a personal computer or on another device with a browser. Please follow one of the following links for web registration. After your one-time online registration, you may give any time you wish via text message.

If you text in your donation and do not receive a text message back, your plan may be blocked to receive Premium SMS or shortcode numbers. If this occurs, please contact your provider and request that they enable Premium SMS messaging on the phone number(s) in which you will be using to give.
If you do not receive a text response right away, do not send a new text; that will duplicate the charge. If you do not receive a text response in a reasonable amount of time and you feel you have waited too long, text HELP to 28950 and you will receive a text message with a toll free number to call.
